Medicinal Plant Walk, Session 2 -- Viles Arboretum, Augusta, ME
On this walk, we'll meet some plants, both wild and cultivated, and learn how they might be used from an herbal, homeopathic, or flower essence perspective. Some plants might be very familiar (often our local weeds are actually wonderful medicinals), while others might be less well-known. We'll talk about identifying factors, parts of the plants used, and preparation. Come be nourished by spending time with these healing friends. Wear shoes you don't mind getting a little dirty : )

Nature's Dancers
A movement meditation class in partnership with nature
facilitated online by Debra Bluth
April 20th - May 31st, 2020
This class is for deepening our personal connection with this world we inhabit.
It is for all experience levels with movement -- you do not need to be a 'dancer'. Or, alternatively said, everyone is a dancer. Everyone has movement.
Breath is movement. So anyone can receive something from this class. Most of the meditations will be quite simple, and you can make them as energetic or as subtle as interests you. You can also make them as long or as short an exploration as you like. If you choose, these can be deep doorways of discovery.
Twice weekly (Monday and Thursday mornings) you will receive instructions for a movement meditation in your email inbox. You will play with this meditation as much as you like until the next one comes. All meditations will happen outside. You can live rurally, suburbanly, or urbanly -- it does not matter. You do need to be willing to commit to the practice. Commitment fosters depth.
For participants who want to share their experiences, an email group will be created. This is not necessary to participate in the class; for some, a solo connection may be just what is needed at this time.
My personal goal with this class is to share the fruits of my own experience as a mover, nature lover, herbalist and flower essence practitioner, martial artist, and artist to help this planet by forever deepening the sphere of our love for it. As well as supporting all of the humans who might love a little sacred movement inspiration at this challenging time.
Suggested donation: $40-$80 sliding scale for the 5 weeks through Paypal or by check (further information will be sent to participants). But nobody is turned away. Pay what you can pay without worry. No questions asked. Email me for further information and to register.

The Flower Essence Ensemble
exploring a healing partnership with nature
This is a class for learning about the healing power of flower essences. Flower essences, as liquid plant energy, directly enter the human energetic system and can have a profound effect on us physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. We will spend time both indoors and outdoors, connecting with nature, learning about how essences work, about plant signatures, about plant and human energetics. This class is experiential, and we will make our own essences, explore taking essences, deepening our capacity for sensing, and practicing communicating about vibrational experiences.
There will be four sessions. Participants must plan to attend all four.
Dates: April 8, May 6, June 3, July 1, 2018
All dates meet 9:30 a.m.–12 p.m. except June 1st, when we meet 8:45 a.m.–2 p.m. to make essences
$200, includes all supplies (can be paid at one time or in four installments of $50 given at each of the sessions)
Location: a private residence in North Freeport, Maine Address to be given to participants after sign up
